Direct Metal Induction Cast Process is a proprietary method of producing a high strength cast aluminum component. When used with our Nautilus Core Process we can provide a casting that is engineered by the customer, limited to the engineer's imagination not the restrictions imposed by conventional casting technology. Thresher Industries allows the engineer to design a lightweight, high strength cost effective component or assembly without limits.
Case Study:
A three piece welded aluminum microwave housing manufactured using welded components. Critical alignment was compromised during the welding process resulting in high scrap rates and customer dissatisfaction. This assembly was costly and caused customer delivery issues. Redesigned as a one piece cast aluminum housing using the DMIC Process and our Nautilus Core reduced initial cost by 80% and scrap related issues by 100%.
THEY GET PAID TO PROMOTE. Probably had to pay for this PR. Bad attempt - just reiterating what is ALREADY known and on their website - What a move...what a JOKE. IMO I'm sure it will sucker someone though.
