I think we should tell the politicians to go to hell and let the American people and the marketplace decide what type of lighting they want to use.
Besides, the Ionic Bulb is ALL about the Ions. Not the environment or any political agenda.

UH, considering the political 'environment' you'd be looking at hysterical pushback on any such move. "Nanny state want's our salt, guns and incandescent bulbs!"

Feds already are doing that!

After December 31, 2011, the federal ban on the 100-watt incandescent light bulb will take effect. Two years after that, the 60-watt and 40-watt versions will disappear from stores, too.
