mojo, interesting, would seem that an investor only could come in (per your "on a different risk level") if Avid were to go a 50/50 held separate venture and future stock offer for the venture part.

Cant be done now without shareholder approval, IMO

all the best

Mojo,

Amen to the biosimilars statement. It's a different business model with a different risk/reward structure. And, Avid is set up perfectly for this business. And of course, one of the world's experts in this arena is Dr. Garnick. Funny thing is he used to argue against biosimilars in an effort to protect Genentech. Now, he'd like to be at the forefront in developing them. He doesn't like that the US doesn't even have standards yet, while the Europeans and Indians (yes India) are making poor-grade knock-offs already.

After the ASM, Dr. Garnick sent me a copy of a presentation he delivered in 2009 that was pretty interesting. I have it saved in powerpoint, but haven't put it up here. Too lazy to research how to attach it and didn't care for the onslaught of negative nellies. If you'd like a copy, all you have to do is go to Dr. Garnick's Lone Mountain site and request a copy. If you haen't seen it already, it's very informative.

Regards,

WH
