Also… in the best case scenario. The dealers are not going to have the new Iraqi currency to exchange for you. You are going to have to except dollars back. You will be out of the investment.

Now, I agree this is an accurate description of possible LOP worst case scenario, but is not yet eminent. CBI has made no official publications that state this is going to happen.

Agree with the exception of outlawing currency outside the Country. Iraq already has a law (under current regime) that any thing under 15 million dinar taken out of Iraq doesn't even need reported.

Check out Article 21 of the Anti-Money Laudering Law of 2004. Last I checked it was on the front page of the CBI Website in English.
