Swamp: Not buying OPTV here. Just watching. It is probably a poor bet, but there is some hype on it among some day traders. It bears watching here for a quick scalp, but you better be quick. Mental stops work better for me. Too many times I put in stops and the MM's take it down to the stops and grab it there and then let it go back up. The people with the stops lose every time on those. After I got burned a few times on those moves, I started just doing mental stops. These crooks watch the stops and then they do their dirty work. OPTV is one I probably won't take a chance on here; but, again, watch the activity on the bids/asks.
It all depends on the stock. Every one has its own scenario. I have done very well with TRLG for example. I sold half for more than I paid for all of it. I let it drop to where it starting acting right again, and got back in luckily right at the new bottom - 4.80. It is now 6.60. I have my mental stop ready just in case. Not sure what I will do into earnings. I expect they will be pretty good, considering the large backlog they had plus the new show room in NYC.
OPTV iffy here in its action late Friday. Found this article. Doesn't really say much about OPTV, except it's speculative, but we knew that...
