If the results were all oil or all water, understanding the potential would be much, much easier. That's not what's been reported so far. Then consider the Chinese perspective, 1) exclusive knowledge is a competitive advantage, 2) they have NO reporting requirements and probably have great leverage with STP via gov't to gov't interactions, 3) could care less about their minority partner's shareholder responsibilities. In fact, any issues that might cause problems for ERHC which could encourage an early exit would probably be welcome. Afterall, ERHC is an expense for them.

Although I stated otherwise earlier, I don't believe Offor's and SNP's objectives are shared. SNP's goals are to secure resources for China and help create as much ancillary business opportunities for other Chinese companies as possible. I hope Offor's is to make money. As a shareholder for 5+ years (have never sold a share), am also impatient and disappointed.

Again, I qualify all of the above in saying this is all personal speculation.
