ajaxx_99,
I think the answer to your question is in what someone posted this morning relative to the Communist Chinese Central Government providing instructions to oil companies to not bid against each other. The poster said, and I hope I am quoting this correctly, the situation (focus) has gone from company to country. No truer words have been spoken.
The benefit to hold the drilling numbers may be none to SNP but they may have tactical relevance to CCCG. These people are coy and I DO NOT TRUST THEM. As a matter of fact, I would be more likely to buy stock in a Nigerian company than a Chinese company for that very reason, i.e. central control. SNP is a puppet! That puppet is our operator/partner in 3 JDZ blocks. As I have said before, the puppet totes our water. So what does that make us relative to having any independence and/or freedom?
Someone (emptynester1) wisely suggested that ERHE would be wise to partner with Total in the EEZ. I agree with that for one block and hopefully another large oil company for the other EEZ block. The JDZ shackles are strangling us. We went from three operators to one and from some sense of flexibility to none. You couldn't make this stuff up in a fiction novel.
