NOT REALLY because they are going to sell the shares all over again right after they are done with the split. That amounts to a bit of stealing on in my humble opinion... it shows that holding is of no advantage.
it means you don't actually own your shares as they can take them back at anytime.. but to then turn around and sell them right off again? that is no consideration of the folks that have tossed their money into the ring over the longer period.. and reinforces that the way to "invest" is to remove the money at every chance provided and pull any profit out. Not let it stay in the company.
shows a lack of concern to the shareholders... over the need to lure in, or provide for the new money... the newcomers and bigger whales. they need to make it shortable.
when they start pulling these kind of moves i lose the incentive to look at the company other than something to flip and flip hard.
like the company shareholders should do what is best for the shareholders... what is good for the goose..
