I think you're forgetting that after you are used Tarceva in the "Maintainence" mode there is no proven 2nd or 3rd line treatment.

Overall, I would assume that the time from diagnosis to death would be much shorter in this senerio. But of course it wasn't measured.

If you were a patient in this setting, would you take it? I would if it didn't cost me a boatload of money.

If it were me or someone in my family, I would want to know the genetic profile to ascertain if an EGFr drug was likely to help. Ditto from the various possible chemo regimens.
