actually it doesn't sound like us at all

too expensive $399 as compared to Odyssey @ $360, also only 10 gigs compared to Odyssey @ 20.Both with voice recording, usb 2.0 & fm, but Odyssey with also voice nav & drag & rip. As far as battery life goes even though the Samsung pr doesn't state it, I will bet you we beat it by at least 3 hours. Size the samsung pr doesn't mention size but I will bet we are about the same or smaller. This is way too inferior to be us but I've been wrong bfore & could be again.

MP3 + voice recorder = EDIG?

The Samsung player sounds like it may be worth paying attention to...

fwiw, I always do a double-take whenever coming across a new MP3 player that also functions as a voice-recorder (VR). In my mind, EDIG was in the VR business before MP3 existed, so it is a logical and relatively easy addition and point of differentiation. IOW, it is easy to add if you already have the capability, but not necessarily a logical extension of the basic product, imo.

(Without doing a lot of DD) I would say the major players in the VR market share are Olympus and Sony. Olympus has not stepped into the MP3 business (as far as I know) and Sony is an anomaly.

Thoughts?
