#46394 RE: skunksyard #46386

Only one post from me regarding this news, and I only have one question:

How will Comcast advertise to the gay market in Seattle about the program, and how/what channel will it be bundled with??

I have differing opinions on the positive and negative side of 'syndication'. To me, it means that Comcast doesn't trust Frank or Q enough completely to give them full carriage, BUT, they want to see if the local market is interested enough to give it more consideration. They are carring Here!, which tells me they're not afraid of the gay market.

The fact that Comcast is willing to syndicate one of Q's shows is indicitive that they're interested in seeing what live/original programming Q comes up with. Anyone can pay a license to get access to a bunch of movies...the original programming is what will make or break Q.

I'll let you know if I see anything at my friends tonight, but, he only has expanded basic, and not digital cable, so i don't expect to see anything. but, I WILL look.

back to lurking.
