TC: The '048 patent does not discuss radio frequency. In several claims, it does mention "signal emanating from an article of commerce." It would be tough to confirm the "signal" is code for radio frequency. The patent fails to further explain the term. I have seen one other NeoMedia patent which mentions radio frequency, but it is safe to say RF is not really a part of the NeoMedia IP. RF is not really a consumer tool so it doesn't make sense for NeoMedia to invest in this technology.
