Couldn't pass up the "no bid" situation. Love the 1.4B shorts the MM's unloaded yesterday. At some point, they will be forced to cover.
The "shareholder of record date" requires brokers to provide shareholder data to the Company for settlement of the dividend.
If there are more shares/shareholders out there than are possible (above O/S), then the brokers will be forced to call in all of the shorts to make their accounts whole.
The way I look at it, they will be forced to buy back short interest to have "real" shares in their accounts to report to company how many actual "REAL" shares they have, in order to be paid the dividend on.
