Mike I think that sonar would have a much further range. The camera wouldn't have to be near the image to capture it. Probably has its use based on what you are doing and the clearity you want. Tonyeight

I would think that zero visibility is the only time "the fish" would be more useful. Don't forget that SeaView was tested in the Everglades and performed well. With a 29,000k price difference, I can't imagine that PD's would purchase this over a SeaView camera unless they had to spend excess money so as not to lose it. SH
