I see that posted a lot on the pinksheet boards. The rule is:
"The company's purchase or bid price may not exceed the highest current independent bid quote or last independent sale price, whichever is higher."
The way I read this is, that if the last sale was at .0002, the company could purchase at .0002 also. If the last sale was at the bid of .0001, then the company could not buy at .0002, only at .0001. Are the rules different for OTC stocks or am I missing something in my interpretation of this regulation? Any insight?
BTW. I do not think this is any sort of company buyback! IMO
