While the contitution does guarantee freedom of religion a friend once astutely pointed out it does not guarantee freedom from religion.

As you've stated, the stock market is private and so it is free to schedule holidays as it sees fit. This is the first year I noticed the market closed on this day as I'm usually working on state jobs during this holiday while everyone is away on spring break. The man that schedules me runs a local church so he's always busy that day but very happy to get projects completed as the opportunity presents itself. A very reasonable man IMO.

For me it's another fine day on gods green earth bringing the opportunity to make the best of what life has to offer.
