It's fair to say we won't know how much the JDZ development would cost. However, it's also possible that JDZ Blocks 1 through 4 will contain more recoverable BOE than AKPO. Furthermore, as an example, 1 billion barrels of oil at a future oil price of $125 yields $125B. Yes, there are taxes and development costs, but that still leaves a HUGE profit potential IMO.

Will you please post where you got the ridiculous idea that deepwater rates have doubled since Akpo. Day rates for drillships have not doubled and those are the costs that have gone up the most. Many other costs have come down substantially. In case you haven't heard, we are in the middle of a global recession and many costs such as fabrication of production facilites, steel costs, labor costs and many other costs of developing deepwater fields have come down. Please try to back up your assertions with facts in the future. Thanks.

JDZ being significantly larger means significantly more oil - NSAI numbers were doubled during development and Total stated they may still be 30% under actual.
