what....then...does...Sun sell? Solaris? Sometimes.

Service? No. That is the very paradigm which "Industry Standard" is attacking.

Sun is hoping to get out of the hardware business with AMD and maybe later Itanium, but they MUST protect their software business or they will have nothing to sell.

Unfortunately by doing so, and buying time for the transition, they must constantly Proclaim to the God of Linux, even though they have abosolutely no intention of going there, just like Snow means when he says the US supports a strong dollar. :))

One is reminded of George Orwell's "doublethink". :))
