There are 1000's and 100's of examples where settlements are not disclosed. Stop being so anal and paranoid Bugsy. They didn't make the agreement because they knew you'd get upset!!

Don't the shareholders have a right to know the details of the settlement?

Not if the judge says no, or if non-disclosure is part of the settlement itself.. There are many possible reasons for keeping it secret, and yes, ONE of those possibilities would be to screw the shareholders.
