If you pay $20 you will get the "detailed information including current franchise tax assessment, current filing history", etc. I think moldy has done this a couple of times and amount of taxes owed was $150+K. But to see a status "for free" you can go to

click the button at the bottom of the screen ("FILE YOUR ANNUAL REPORT AND PAY BUSINESS ENTITY TAX") and enter Aurus' file number 3995123:
