#14645 RE: chipguy #14643

Re - "Your second condition (complete dominance in all benchmarks) just does not happen in practice even in cases of huge performance disparity."

Then how is it that you can claim that Montecito is superior to
Power 5? Starting to back track already are we?

Re - "Why you pose the false dilemma of either being equivalent
or unrealistically dominant is curious. Either you are too
clueless even to know that the question was boobytrapped
or you did know it and you were being...."

Chipguy it was you who made the statement: "Montecito is superior to Power 5". You were too clueless to realize that complete dominance does not happen, good thing I set you straight. My question was a direct extension of your statement. You are too clueless to realize this so I will spell it out for you. Pay attention now, and you can read this as many times as it takes to sink into that void in your head.
Thanks to the education that I have already given you, you now know that Montecito will not show complete dominance over Power 5 in ALL HPC benchmarks. For customers who run apps that show Power 5 having better performance Montecito IS NOT superior. Do you get it now? Go back and read it about 15 thousand more times until it sinks in.
I should start charging for all this education I'm giving you.

BTW, I'm still waiting for your factual data that shows IBM bidded with Power 5.

p.s. No more free education for you. This pissing match is done.
