Speaking as a long-time Vegetarian & a member of the Vegetable Circus, I know that this world needs some serious new supplies of Omega 3's, and algae is already taking over. Nuts & Seeds are just too expensive, and the world is over-fished. Eggs will remain a great source, but for oils I see algae as dominating the future.
I use spirulina in my breakfast shakes, with soaked seeds, berries, and a banana - tastes great, and little else compares in how good I feel after eating it.
And that delicious Blueberry-Pomegranate + Omega-3's (Minute-Maid)... that's from Algae! And it's both great & mainstream!
Can anyone think of a good reason why algae won't be the super-food of humanities' future?
