Midland News has just been on TV and they arew reporting that the reduction in the claims was due to people coming off the dole as they were not seeking jobs. 17,000 more jobs were lost in the Midlands area alone and other parts of the country are also shedding jobs - just a case of juggle the figures to suit the circumstances

(what about all people that finish unemployment indemnity but are still without a job)

or US don't count the workers at 5-10$ x hour
officially employed but working poor (and growing)
