I know as far as a Life Insurance Trust Fund, the Trustee is only responsible to distribute money from the fund for expenses only for the beneficiary of the Trust Fund. The Trustee is not liable or required to be paid from the Trust Fund, unless the wording in the Trust Fund stated so.
