I e-mailed with David to verify that the press release was not true. He confirmed - but clarified what he thought happened. Below is what he wrote back to me.
I think this verifies what we all have been thinking - that management is quite inept at dealing with being a public company. Hopefully they will learn the ropes SOON so they will stop screwing and pissing off their shareholders.
"Last year, we had very friendly, professional discussions with Metatron. The owner seemed like a very nice guy. It looked like we would probably do business with them and a general contract was provided to us by Metatron. After reviewing the contract, we decided not to move forward. The primary reason was that we just did not feel the deal would be profitable at this stage. We agreed to talk again in the future.
On reflection, I truly don’t think the guys at Metatron are dishonest. I just think they’re overzealous and jumped the gun on a deal that was not closed. In our mind, they made a rookie mistake.
