The conversation was about dual-core value chips. The kind that
go into $350 systems. Pretty hard to shoehorn a $530 chip into
a $350 system. drjohn said that dual-core value chips would be
shipping in 2005.

The thing against dual-core value chips is that you need XP Pro
and that extra $70 to $189 for XP Pro makes that a very difficult
proposition unless Microsoft decides to put dual-core support
into Home or drop the price of XP Pro.
