Are there any plans for Winning Brands to merge with another company in the near future?

There are no such plans, although the company has already received exploratory correspondence from a manufacturer of a consumer product that is available in 40,000 outlets. The purpose of the correspondence was to determine whether Winning Brands was interested in selling its Winning Colours Stain Remover brand to that company. Winning Brands thanked the enquiring party for their interest but considers it premature for a divestiture because Winning Colours Stain Remover has barely begun to establish itself as a household name. In due course, homes across America will use Winning Colours Stain Remover as a favourite in its category. Under such circumstances, a divestiture would bring a much better return to our shareholders.

Wow, I am so impressed with the fact that Eric Lehner actually responded in depth to the questions I am almost speechless. Almost. Need to digest all the information but he certainly appears to have covered any questions we had in an extremely thoughtful and forthright manner.

Sent the reply to two friends of mine who are heavy corporate hitters and they both responded "What a guy, never would see my CEO take the time or energy to do something like this". (paraphrased) One started out at E-Trade and became a star there before moving on and the other was a big mucky muck at Xerox...I value their input on this PDF.

Sometimes knowing everything within reason can be disarming but no one can say Eric did not lay out as many of the answers as appropriate.

I am feeling quite good about this tonight. Not even going to check the EOD price til the morning.
