Am I correct in that they cannot borrow your shares until the transaction has settled.

Yes, but I heard from another board that if you put a sell limit order in at a very high price above what you got then they can't borrow your shares or your shares are protected. So once your buy is filled set a high limit sell price.

That's really funny because I have Scottrade and I tried to set a sell limit like at .05 when goig was at .003x and it wouldn't let me set that high.

Anyone know if this is true?
