We have traders here who are upset at missing a quick 30% bump in SP. They took a little profit were waiting for the expected dip then Kaboom - left them in the dust.
One could imagine them telling the grandkids that they took their
.10 profit (10%) and then it zoomed to $7.00 ! - as they were "out" and waiting!
DAD had the winning ticket...but but sold it for pocket change.
I'm sure DNDN has a few of those stories also. It's a common problem traders have. They miss the Big One. Easy to do.
You see what you think is an established trading range, sell at the top of the range, but this time something goes horribly wrong - the stock keeps going higher. Now they are afraid to buy-in since in their 'model' shows 'oversold' and they don't want to get a double-wammy. So .... now they wait for the pull back - but no -it keeps going higher.
And it is soon all over but the crying.
