Dragon, that is the way they are posted to the regulators but the regulators simply tally and post as one number.

I suggest you look at this data set and differentiate the variety of possible short sale reports. some have simply taken the bottom line number and calculated it against the total volume (which is not always accurate) and concluded that a short sale raid (NSS) is underway.
