SPl,

What is the Vaule of a MMJ License? From HESG:

INDIAN HARBOR BEACH, FL, Jan 05, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Health Sciences Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HESG) would like to announce that it has engaged in negotiations with The Healing Center to assist with the acquisition of a Medical Marijuana license in the State of Colorado. "We believe that we will obtain the same sort of licensing agreement with The Healing Center as we did in Montana," said Health Sciences Group CEO Tom Gaffney.
Gaffney continues, "Our goal is to obtain proper and legal licenses in each of the legalized medical marijuana states during 2010. Once licensing is obtained we intend on raising capital to procure business in each of our licensed locations."

My Note: This was only two months ago and was the last PR from this company before they went quiet. Notice it said with The Healing Center. So did they complete the deal? Did the Healing Center assist in the purchase? Is the Deal in negotiation still or is it finish or was it Fake. The Montana Healing Center deal was confirmed. So again the Big Question is how much are these license worth?

Read this arcticle and the tell me that License are not becoming more valuable. Then see my note at bottom.

Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in Denver Expected to Decrease Posted by S. Bergstrom
2 weeks, 1 day ago
The body of sensible medical marijuana dispensary regulations that the city of Denver enacted at the beginning of the year is beginning to take effect. Starting this week, the city is accepting applications from dispensaries that wish to continue operation under Denver's more rigid laws. The new regulations require dispensary owners to submit floor plans, details of security arrangements, zoning permits, and fingerprints so that criminal background checks may be conducted. On the first day the city accepted applications, only 20 of the Denver's more than 300 dispensaries submitted the necessary forms.

This is unsurprising as entry into the medical marijuana dispensary business prior to these regulations was easy. The next months will see a great culling of Denver dispensaries, separating fly-by-night operations from those truly committed to the wellness of their patients. While controversial, regulation of the dispensary industry was always expected and responsible dispensary owners prepared for it from the beginning. The end result will be fewer medical marijuana dispensaries, but a more mature industry that is better able to serve the thousands of MMJ patients who rely on us for the medicine they need.

Pain Management of Colorado has always sought to provide the very best care and the very best medical marijuana in Denver. Our on-site licensed physicians and other professionals are able to provide patients with full medical evaluations and guidance through the numerous steps involved in obtaining your medical marijuana license. Once approved, patients have come to expect only the highest quality medicine from our dispensaries. All the medical marijuana we provide is 100% organically-grown in our state-of-the-art facilities.

We encourage medical marijuana patients to examine their choices carefully in the coming weeks. As more Denver dispensaries decide to close their operations rather than comply with the new regulations, their patients will be forced to either discontinue using medical marijuana or finding another dispensary. We encourage these patients to closely examine Pain Management of Colorado.

My Note: This same senario is repeating itself in Los Angles and other states and citys with limits or freezes being placed on number of dispensaries until srticker guidelines and regulation can be put in place. Each guidline, regulation, limitation, and number of issued licenses increases the value of each of these existing licenses and business that can meet these new demands. Where have you see this before? Liquor licenses, So what is the value of a liquor license? How hard are they to get?

Now let's talk full legalization in California that sits on the horizon. Let's say it passes. What do you think will happen in the state of California? Do you think we will embrace it as the liberal mind folks you think we are. What happen with the Gay Marriage issue in California or law that was passed by the politicians. The moment it passed certain groups took it to court and got it put on hold until an initiative could be put on the ballot and voted for. What happened? close to 70% of this so called liberal state voted against it. Those same people who don't believe in gay marriage, IMO will not support full legalization. So what will this do to the value of a license.
