Equity Committee (EC)?

The iBox and other chatter on the LEHMQ discussion board is not as extensive and technical as the one on WAMUQ. May I ask for your top three reasons that you think LEHMQ shareholders will prevail without an EC to fight for their equity?

I've received numerous inquiries regarding the request for formation of an Equity Committee. While I personally think that it is too early in the process it is not too early to begin a count of retail investor holdings and gathering of contact information. This may allow us to quickly move in response of future requests for an EC formation. In the case of Washington Mutual, I believe two previous EC formation requests were denied before ultimately receiving approval. Once approved, they met in near record time. It would behoove us to be prepared. Lehman has announced that they expect to release their Reorganization plan in the 2nd Quarter of 2010. We don't want to be caught flatfooted if their plan involves/recognizes equity potential but attempts to minimize our returns/ownership.
