In any given stock you have your longs and shorts. The longs are looking to buy low and sell high and the shorts have borrowed shares from there broker and sold at a higher price and are hoping the stock goes lower so they can buy the stock back at a lower price and pocket the difference. This stock has had a high percentage of shorting the last several days which is expected because of the huge run that it had.
