Thanks for posting that link. I read the 3rd one down in the list and hope that is true. I never thought about the "post dated" approach to a reason for why this all went down the way it did. Thanks again for posting that link

Just now had the time to look at exhibit A, the check. It appears that the maker wrote the notation "Inv#" just to the left of the numbers "7843-1." Sure looks to me like the check was intended as payment on an existing invoice.
