No...but characterizing them as minor issues is oversimplifying. Many Social Security recipients may take $250,000 to $350,000 in benefits over their lifetime while having paid in up to 6.2% of their income plus the employer match.

Medicare recipients may take multiples of those numbers in benefits over their lifetimes while paying in up to 3+% of their income plus a match, or having paid nothing. Hence the urgency needed to modify medicare. So far what we've seen won't fix the long term problem.
