Well...most of the entries on that TA list WERE in fact correct. I verified some of them myself (with the holders) and my own certificate numbers were missing (as would be appropriate, since I had returned the shares to street name). So, the list came from the TA. The only question is whether the list had been altered before we saw it by adding shares to CEDE (and perhaps RM).
But in essence I am agreeing with you that the list cannot be verified.
