Wild Hunt could EASILY be much bigger than Twelve (which I think will be very successful).

The movie has broad appeal -- it was the audience pick for best narrative (non-documentary) film at Slamdance Film Festival.

But it also has a hard-core audience among the Larping community (Live Action Role PlayINg Games). I've been doing some Google searches on this and, well, it isn't just a couple hundred thousand folks dressing up for Renaissance Festivals. Estimates vary, but there are MILLIONS of people involved. Most popular are the medieval/renaissance games depicted in The Wild Hunt. I ran across one blog page with nearly HALF A MILLION comments posted -- and that website was named The Wild Hunt (no direct connection to the movie).

In essence, this movie is the first that has really focused on this movement. For the LARPING community, it is a MUST SEE movie, and I bet they dress up to go see it.

I saw some posts by folks who were distraught over not being able to make it to the single showing at the Santa Barbara film festival -- freaking out over whether this was going to up on the big screen.

This has GOT to be shown in theatres!

I believe it is a sleeper hit too. I loved how the trailer to Wild Hunt starts out corny, then gets funny, and suddenly it takes a dark turn. It's definitely enough to peak my interest in seeing the movie. I really hope Hannover House owns the distribution rights to it. :-)
