Opportunity, early detection of any cancer is NOT what is needed. Some cancers are not dangerous and if they are treated, it causes a huge strain on the medical system and unnecessary harm to the patients.
What is needed is early detection of dangerous cancers. People have been conditioned to regard all cancers as dangerous. Even someone that has a slow growing or dormant cancer will soon tire of seemingly endless biopsies year after year.
I would like to see a question about potential treatment applications, like complexing the RECAF antibody with a chemotherapeutic agent or radionucliide.
How much work or brainstorming has been directed toward that end? What's the current thinking on its likely feasibility? Do the current Abbott and Inverness licenses cover that aspect?
