techman

two things, the wavecharts are designed to mask out an oscillatory component or sinewave like fragment of the price motion. in the physical world rotating or pendulum motion plotted vs time draws a sinewave. so sinewave like motion occurs naturally and that gets me away from calling it manipulation.

i don't expect any system to predict the future motion of the market. i want to immediately know if the price motion is or is not in the same direction (bias) as the model / filter.

i expect each reader to make his own interpretation based on their experience, many different reads from the same chart, people seeing different things in it.

try this, throw out to me three or four dates of major market turning points over the last four years and i'll dig the old wavecharts out of the archive for those dates and you can see if the charts says anything to you. keeping in mind that the wavecharts were not specifically designed to mask out medium term turning points. piece of cake, i know where to look for the charts.

i consider this chart to be the proof of concept, but each reader will see something different in it. i see a quarter cycle of a sinewave there from 10/27 to 11/4 (2003).
