Correct....i'm no expert in the field so i don't know if it's economically feasible to dig up old waste site.

I would venture to say that companies in the waste collection/management sector would be buying JV's and feeding all plastics (buried or unburied) and fueling their vehicles from the processors. Considering that plastics take millions of years to decompose, I would not think that the decomposition gases (methane, etc.) would be coming from them.
