There are too many people worried about the wrong things...
While there are so many worried that Mary is with Sue, or Bob is with Bill, how many of these people are worried that when Bob was with Sue, he beat the H-E-L-L out of her every other weekend?
As a cop I saw too many things which need to be addressed yet are forgotten, because that the way things are...
While I am still against Gay Marriage, civil unions should not be contested. We claim that we have a separation of Church and State....so marriage stays with the Churches (and some will perform same sex marriages) while the State deals with Unions. I don't see why if Bob wants Bill to decide what to do with his remains, instead of Sue, why anyone else should care...or if Bill brings Bob into a hospital and cares for him, why can a hospital administrator can tell Bill he can't make choices for Bob...only his family can, and they haven't talked to him in decades....
(TRUE STORY...my brother-in-law went into the hospital and his partner was told he couldn't make any decisions/choices...so Jack called me and I did. Sort of stupid don't you think...that I could, while being only a brother-in-law yet bill's life partner was pushed aside.)
Well, before I really get going, I think I better go take some meds....
