Craggenmore is awesome,as is Craggelachkie(impossible to find!!!)......Most Scots in the know will tell you that 8 to 10 years is the optimal ageing for scotch.........anything older than that is pure marketing,but I still love the 12+ Macallans and Glenlivets........My all-time favourite was a "mini-Chivas"we made years ago,sorely missed(out of production)was a "100 Pipers" 8 years old!!!!I used to take it home for my own stash in 3.75 liter jugs!!!!!
I never been to Scotland but I will one day for sure. Islay has some grat stuff IMO: Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore. I´d like to taste a "Port Ellen" some day (Distillery closed since 1983).
