Peter is not credible when he said wont screw the shareholders, he also said he would have a complete Verde on display at the show. Peter is very good at saying things people like to hear but very bad at following through on any of them. Given the SEC issue and DTCC lock, he pretty much cant screw the shareholders by playing with the stock at this time anyway. There is a much bigger chance that he will just default on the loans, losing the company through no fault of his own and allowing him to start over with a new group of rabid supporters.
