The young lady USMC I mentioned going to be a MP also. Dad did that too, for a short while, after rotating back from S. Pacific, where his squadron was attached under Pappy Boyington. Gave me lots of good tips about dealing with "drunken sailors."
Came real close (pen in hand) in mid 70s, when back home and couldn't find a good job, to taking Army up on a 6 yr. ASA gig, but Dad flipped out when they couldn't prove MOS promises in writing. Got a much better gov. offer a few weeks later and ended up doing that for just about 30 yrs. Don't wanna disrespect anyone by repeating what Dad used to say about Army, but hey, that's the Marines.
