Kia, all of the newer shotguns of a reputable mfg. can shoot Steel Shot. Choke tubes that come with the gun as well as the better ones from people like Jess Briley (Briley's Chokes and Tube sets are by far the BEST on the market...Bar NONE...are Steel Shot SAFE! The older guns like the Browning A-5 are not. However, depending on the year a gun was manufactured there may be a few A-5's you can shoot Steel Shot through. If you have a particular gun in question contact the company to be sure. This is if you bought the shotgun uses and the previous owner may have interchanged barells. The barell should have the Steel Shot capability stamped on it.
