well cableguy you've been in 7 months...and you've been looking to the product of QTN..while the government for tax purposes considers you a short term capital gain, your interest to me puts you in the long category...hey if you had moved it when it headed down to another stock different story I'd say...

It's not how long you've own it, it's how long you plan to own it.

I believe that being long is more a state of mind then how long you have owned a particular stock. If you just bought today and have the intention of holding onto the stock then I would consider you to be long. Personally I have held this stock for over 3 1/2 years.
