I agree Redbud. I've been in OR's for almost 15 years and they are always having to weigh the expense of lawsuit avoidance against being able to stay financially viable. There is a balance. No matter what happens in the OR, any bad outcome will be followed by a lawsuit. You could have every safety measure in place, every cleanliness protocol and every training module up to date and a HUMAN will screw up and bring upon the bad outcome. The science of this is so strong, they may get to do a once a day or once a week sterilization of their suites. If there are no bugs in the room and the patient cultures out clean, they'd be killing themselves to process after every case. They need this and they need a scientifically sound application protocol. I am long and strong MZEI
