#25430 RE: HALF FULL GLASS #25429

Half full stated: "I am sure you will make the correct decision."

No half, you cannot be sure anyone makes a correct decision because over 97% of men make the incorrect decision and are treated unnecessarily for prostate cancer that will never become a problem.

DukeOBass, once again, I ask you the question. Does your familiy have a history of men dying of prostate cancer or just a history of men being treated for prostate cancer? It is a very important question you need to address. When the prostates were removed from men in your family, what was the pathology report? You NEED to know. Were they agressive cancer or were they slow growing that would have never caused a problem? Most doctors would probably not disclose a pathology report and say that treatment was unnecssary. They would just have said "cancer was found".

Prostate cancer is the most overtreated cancer ever and it is because cancers that should never have been dectected are being treated. Your situation appears to be the exact reason why prostate cancers are WAY over treated. You need to not panic and get several second or third opinions.

Half, DukeOBass's situation is exactly why RECAF will cause more problems with overtreatment than exists today. If DukeOBass had a positive RECAF test right now, he would without doubt rip out his prostate regardless if it is slow growing or not. I can tell that by reading his posts. That would not only happen with him but with the majority of anyone who tests positive for RECAF. Again, this situation confirms that RECAF has a huge potential of doing more harm than good.
