Thanks for the link. Interesting one approach is to adjust safe levels, the other to adjust cash reserves. Of course there are almost an infinite number of combinations if you fiddle with each to match the expected market conditions.

I agree that I don't think one size fits all. The idea of zero cash reserves certainly makes sense for some aggressive stock picks. If there is one lesson the bear market taught me, is to manage my losses. It's one thing to exhaust your cash reserves in a broad based index or fund, it's another thing to do so with a portfolio of a few aggressive, volatile stocks.
