I think this is exciting. If we all look at the old brick phone it was so expensive, then technology was made cheaper. Now every one has one. the lower the price the better for all.

Do you have a link to more specific info handy, I would like to learn more. As I said Samsung and Toshiba both have had R&D departments working Hydrogen Fuel cells as well, but all indications are that they seem to favoring DMFC fuel cell in there time and money and success to date.

All indications that I am reading shows the DMFC devices are much futher along than Hydro devices as far as VSPC markets go, but as I said this could be Blue Ray vs HDdvd battle at some point. If you remember HDdvd came out first and Blueray had to play catch up and then eventually won. They say the key in that battle was not the tech but the acceptance and the decision of two major players in that industry that being Disney and the Adult entertainment groups.

I think the Key here is cost and ease of use, will it be cheaper and easier to keep plugging current cell phones into wall outlets, or use one of the new techs, DMFC or Hydro for your cell phone or say gaming device or Ipod.

I think Toshiba saw that a portable power supply was the safest device to enter the market test with as it does not force anyone to make a commitment on a device such as a phone or gaming device and can power either and because it was a stand alone device there was no manufactuering shift required as it would be to enter with a cell phone.

I think Toshiba entering with a DMFC device vs. one from their Hydro R&D department is a very strong signal on what they think the market direction will go. But I think that both devices will make a market entry and we go back to the Blueray vs. HDdvd senario. But for right now at least from what I am seeing DMFC devices have the head start. Would you not agree?
